Stakeholders from the National Enterprise Development Initiative (NEDI), Social Development Fund (SDF) and Ministry of Finance and Economic Affairs on Wednesday visit Youth and Sports Minister in his office in Banjul.
The purpose of the meeting was to update the minister on the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signed on the implementation of Youth Revolving Fund and Loan Scheme (YRLF) between the Ministry of Youth and Sports (MOYS) through National Enterprise Development Initiative (NEDI) and Social Development Fund (SDF).
The Youth and Sports Development Levy shall be a Youth Revolving Fund and Loan with the following components, the Seed Fund to be managed by the SDF, while the Grant and the Training, Coaching and Mentoring components shall be managed by NEDI.
The start-up funds for the Youth Revolving Loan Fund shall be periodically replenished to deepen outreach and maximize impact.
In a similar but different engagement, an official of Child Fund The Gambia Led by Musu Komma, the country director paid a courtesy call on the Minister of Youth and Sports, Mr Bakary Y Badjie. The officials assured the new youth and sports boss their continuous support, promotion, and protection of children in The Gambia.
