In his official opening remarks, Hon. Bakary Y. Badjie Minister of Youth & Sports, emphasized that “a nation with meaningfully engaged youth is a nation destined for sustainable advancement”—a vision The Gambia is determined to achieve.
Minister Badjie highlighted that the country is undergoing rapid demographic and economic change, noting that unemployment is no longer a challenge affecting only the unskilled, but increasingly impacts all sectors. He called for collaborative efforts to ensure Gambian youth are equipped, empowered, and positioned to drive the nation’s progress.
