The Technical Committee for the Mboyo Football Field this morning met at the site to assess the progress of ongoing works at the Serekunda Central Mini stadium being constructed by the Ministry of Youth & Sports .
The team led by Deputy Permanent Secretary Technical at the Ministry of Youth and Sports Mr. Musa Mbye, Mr Abass Bah Director of Youth and Sports and that of the site supervisor Ebrima Kolley of the Ministry of Transport Works and Infrastructure, Gambia-MOTWI noted steady progress. This Project is a government-funded initiative to upgrade community sports facilities across the country.
The project, which includes a standard football field and a multi-purpose outdoor sports facility (a 3-in-1 court for handball, basketball, and volleyball), which is in its final stage, will be a major step toward providing athletes and young people with a modern and vibrant sports facility they can be proud of.
