Orientation of Graduates for the Maiden National Youth Service Graduate Programme.

Hon. Bakary Y Badjie said: "The orientation you are attending during these two weeks is part of the capacity development to prepare you to be able to work in both the public and private sectors with the highest attributes of being competent, disciplined, committed, respectful, accountable, and dedicated to your duties and the state, ".

"The focus of my ministry is helping, assisting, and creating the enabling environment for decent employment opportunities for our youth to support the rapid socioeconomic development of the Gambia through harnessing the huge potentials provided by the demographic dividends of our youthful population especially utilizing the youth capabilities with the right educational qualifications built on a solid foundation of competent, discipline, loyalty and dedication," he said.

"The commitment of the partners in this noble initiative the collaboration from all sectors of government agencies and the support from our development agencies especially the UNDP cannot be overemphasized. This will be amplified and strengthened, by ensuring that the investment made has a positive impact on the lives and livelihood of our university youth graduates and the nation at large."
