In our quest for successful AFCON 2023, the Chief of Staff, Secretary to Cabinet, Permanent Secretaries, Deputy Permanent Secretaries, Directors and Senior Officials, during the 3rd Quarter Permanent Secretaries Retreat, held from the 18th to 20 December 2023, made significant donation in support of National Football Team participation in AFCON 2023, to be held in Cote D’Ivoire from the 13th January to 11th February 2024.
The donation was initiated at the 3rd Permanent Secretaries Retreat by Ms. Ndey Marie Njie Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Youth and Sports and supported by all her colleagues.
The initiative came at the right time when her Ministry is calling on the public to support the National Scorpion after securing a back-to-back AFCON appearance.
PS Njie said the generosity means everything to the Ministry and to all football stakeholders.
In a similar engagement, the National Assembly Members have also significantly contributed to The Gambia’s AFCON 2023 budget .
