The Ministry of Youth and Sports has approved Ten million dalasis ( D10, 000,000) to The Gambia Football Federation (GFF) for the senior national team's participation in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.
The match which is expected to be played away is the home match for Burundi who are also affected by CAF's band on their stadium.
Similarly, The Gambia will play her home game against Cote D'Ivoire three days after their encounter against Burundi in the same venue in Tanzania.
The team is excepted to leave on Sunday 12th November 2023 and play their away match against Burundi and home match against Cote D'Ivoire on November 16th and 20th respectively.
The funds approved will facilitate the team's logistics during their stay in Tanzania.
