NATIONAL SPORTS COUNCIL
The National Sports Council(NSC) was established by an act of the National Assembly in the year 2000 to register and regulate national sports associations coordinate, supervision, develop, promote sports in the Gambia

PRESIDENT'S INTERNATIONAL AWARDS SCHEME
The scheme focuses on youth development through structured activities like skills, training, community services, and adventure challenges to build leadership character and life skills.

The program is designed to enhance moral standing skills and knowledge

The program motivates youth to engage in community services

It brings young people together from different background, promoting unity, teamwork, and cultural exchange
INDEPENDENCE STADIUM and FRIENDSHIP HOTEL
It serves as a major sports and event facility for national celebrations
Key Functions:

It serves predominantly used for football matches

The hotel is used presumably for lodging (visiting teams)

Its used for political gathering and religious gathering
NATIONAL YOUTH COUNCIL
The National youth council promotes youth development and represents young people in national affair.
Key Functions:

Coordinate and support youth groups and organizations

Advise the government on youth related policies and programs

Organize training, mentorship, and leadership initiatives for youths
NATIONAL YOUTH SERVICE SCHEME
The scheme runs several inactivities ,including a two -year skill training program for new corps members a one year paid internships for graduate and and apprenticeship program with skilled work craftsperson

NYSS trains youths in trades like agriculture carpentry, welding, tailoring, mechanics and ICT

The program promotes discipline loyalty and hardwork through orientation .

NATIONAL ENTERPRICE DEVELOPMENT INTIATIVE
NEDI fosters enterpreneurship among youth and women to create sustainable employment opportunities contributing to The Gambia’s economic growth
Key Functions:

NEDI trains youths in financial literacy, marketing, business-planning and management through workshop and incubation programs

NEDI offers guidance and mentorship to help entrepreneurs grows and develop strong business strategies

NEDI gives microloans and grants to support small business in sectors like retail, agriculture and butchery
