Guinea-Bissau’s Ambassador to The Gambia, H.E. Luis Domingo Camará de Barros, on Wednesday, paid a courtesy call on the Minister of Youth and Sports, Hon. Bakary Y. Badjie at his office in Banjul.
The visit aimed to deepen bilateral relations with a particular focus on youth empowerment and cultural cooperation between the two nations.
Ambassador Barros delivered a message of appreciation from Guinea-Bissau’s Minister of Youth, Sports and Culture, who earlier this year visited The Gambia. Additionally, the envoy extended a special message from the Secretary of State for Youth while commending The Gambia’s progress in youth development and sports.
Minister Badjie welcomed the ambassador’s gesture and reaffirmed The Gambia’s commitment to fostering regional partnerships that create opportunities for young people.
Both sides expressed interest in future collaborations, including youth exchange programmes, joint sporting initiatives, and cultural projects to strengthen ties between their countries.
