The Gambia's Beach Volleyball male and female teams yesterday attended the opening ceremony of The 2023 FIVB U-21 World Beach Volleyball Championship in the Roi Et city, Thailand.
The ceremony featured speeches, musical and cultural performances, and fireworks.
The FIVB World championship is scheduled from today 8th to 13th November at Thailand's popular Beach Roi Et.
The Gambia achieved qualification to the World Championship for both male and female categories after our Male Team won the African championship in Morocco, with the female team also finishing 3rd place at the same continental competition earlier this year.
The Ministry of Youth and Sports under the leadership of Bakary Y. Badjie wish the team a good luck as games start today!
