The Honourable Bakary Y. Badjie, Minister of Youth and Sports and Chairperson of the National Organising Committee (NOC), Friday led a team comprising NOC committee heads, local organising committee members, staff from the Ministry, and the National Youth Council on an inspection tour of key facilities. The team visited Serekunda West, Serekunda East, Charles Jow Memorial Academy, and the Buffer Zone to assess readiness for the National Youth Conference and Festival (NaYCoNF) convergence, set to begin on Sunday.
With the theme "Enhancing Youth Participation in the Attainment of the Recovery Focus NDP 2023–2027," NaYCoNF aims to engage youths in driving national development goals.
During the site visit, Honourable Badjie expressed gratitude for the preparations made so far, highlighting progress and areas requiring attention. He assured the public of a successful NaYCoNF, emphasizing the event’s significance in empowering youth to contribute meaningfully to the National Development Plan (NDP) 2023–2027.
