Minister Badjie presents diplomatic passports to National Team

The Hon. Minister of Youth and Sports Mr. Bakary Y. Badjie, on behalf of H.E President Adama Barrow of the Republic of The Gambia Monday presented the diplomatic passports to the National Team ahead of the Scorpion’s crunch class against Senegal tomorrow in the Africa Cup of nations (AFCON).

Presenting the diplomatic passport to the Players, Hon Badjie said he is paying message of gratitude from the President and the entire Government to the players who are great ambassadors of the country.

Minister Badjie stated that with the diplomatic passport it will make the travelling easy for the players around the world.

The president of the Gambia Football Federation Mr. Lamin Kaba Bajo highlighted the importance of the diplomatic passports to the players.

He thanks the Hon . minister for the efforts done for the president to approve the diplomatic passports to the players.

“When the request was made, I was there in Marrakesh when he spoke to the president and it was considered done by the head of state and it was done” says Bajo

Scorpions skipper Omar Colley gave the vote of thank on behalf of the players and technical staff

He said they appreciate the President support.

“On behalf of the players and the entire technical staff, I would really like to thank the president for fulfilling his promise. We are really grateful to have such a president. He has done a lot of support for us and we cannot thank him enough. We will make him proud tomorrow he concluded.
