Following the awarding of rights as the official GSM partner, the CEO and Chairman of Qcell and his senior management team on Friday met with the members of the National Coordinating Committee (NCC) at the Ministry of Youth and Sports.
Speaking at the meeting, the Minister of Youth and Sports, Hon. Bakary Y. Badjie , welcomed Mr. Jah and his team congratulated them for winning the bid to become the official GSM partner during the AFCON 2023 and World Cup qualifiers. Hon. Badjie further encouraged Qcell to continue the partnership even after the AFCON and support other sports as the government needs that private sector intervention.
For his part, the CEO of Qcell, Mr. Muhammed Jah expressed his appreciation for being awarded the GSM partner as the highest bidder and assured the NCC his institution’s commitment to fulfill all that is in the agreement and more as his company is committed to development of The Gambia.
Mr. Kaba Bajo, the President of the GFF, expressed happiness that Qcell is partnering in the development of football. Thank Mr. Jah and his Qcell company for his readiness to intervene in football marketing, which will help the National League.
The official signing ceremony and unveiling of the partnership deal will be held on Monday at 11 am. at Qcell headquarters on Kairaba Avenue.
