The Honourable Minister for Youth and Sports Bakary Y. Badjie today launched the National organising committee as The Gambia is set to host the inter-regional ministerial meeting on anti-doping in January.
The theme for the event is “Enhancing Africa’s Sports Governance: Fostering Inter-Regional Cooperation and Convergence for Sport Values, Ethics and Integrity”
The National organising committees will be responsible for organizing various aspects of the meeting, including logistics, security, media coverage, and coordination with other government agencies. The launch of these sub committees marks an important step in ensuring the success of the upcoming inter-regional ministerial meeting on anti-doping.
The Youth and Sports Minister expressed his confidence in the sub committees and their ability to work together to make this event a success.
The sub-committee includes Finance and Oversight chair by DPS Technical Mr. Musa Mbye, Transport, Protocol and Accommodations chair by Ebrima Sanneh DPS OP, Conference chair by Dr Omar Jagne and Media and Publicity Mr. Omar Jarju president of Sports Journalists' Association of The Gambia respectively.
