A high-level Gambian delegation, led by the Honourable Minister of Youth & Sports, Mr. Bakary Y. Badjie , is currently attending the 10th Session of the Conference of Parties to the Anti-Doping Convention at UNESCO Headquarters in Paris, France, from October 20 to 22, 2025.
The delegation includes Mr. Musa Mbye, Deputy Permanent Secretary Technical, Dr. Omar Jagne, Focal Person and Head of The Gambia National Anti-Doping Office; Mamalang Ceesay, Senior Planner and Sara Camara, Communications and PR Manager at the The Gambia National Sports Council - NSC .
Also part of the delegates are H.E. Ebrima O. Camara, The Gambia’s Ambassador to France, and Dr. Senghor, The Gambia’s Permanent Representative to UNESCO.
This year’s conference marks 20 years of the International Convention against Doping in Sport, bringing together global leaders, experts, and policy-makers to strengthen cooperation and promote clean, fair competition in sports.
On the sidelines, the Gambian delegation met with Senegal’s Minister of Sports, Khady Diène Gaye, to discuss deeper collaboration in sports development, anti-doping initiatives, and youth empowerment.
The Gambia’s active participation at this landmark event reaffirms the government’s commitment to international sports cooperation and its unwavering dedication to protecting athletes and promoting integrity in sport.
