The National Youth Consultation on #SummitOfTheFutureGMM came to end this evening at the Sir Dawda Kairaba Jawara International Conference Center in Bijilo
In his closing remarks, the Hon. Minister of Youth and Sports, Bakary Y. Badjie extended the government's appreciation to the United Nations office in the Gambia for the support and facilitation of the two days consultation with Gambian youths. He advised youth people to take the issues discussed at the forum back to their communities and organisations. Hon. Badjie assure the young people that their recommendations on what needs to be done to ensure a brighter future for them will be considered highly by the government, not just at the UN Summit but beyond, in planning government policies and programs.
He reminded the young people that change begins within oneself before being able to influence others to multiple that change.
The Minister maintained that climate change remains one of the major challenges of our generation, and every young person must play a role to mitigate its effect on humanity.
