The Ministry of Youth and Sports (MOYS), Wednesday held it's 1st Senior Management Team meeting (SMT) to review the Ministry's activities, successes and challenges for the previous year, as well as the planned activities for 2024.
The meeting held at the Independence stadium in the Bakau was presided over by the Honourable Minister of Youth and Sports, Mr Bakary Y. Badjie, with the participation of the Permanent Secretary, Deputy Permanent Secretaries, and Executive Directors of satellite institutions under the Ministry.
In his remarks, Hon Minister Badjie reminded the meeting should be quarterly and called for team work, noting that he does not work in isolation and do not therefore expect the heads of institutions under the Ministry to work in isolation. He implored everyone to join hands and work together as a team in order to promote the agenda of the ministry and the government wide development agenda.
All the Directors of the 6 satellite institutions under the Ministry made presentations on their ongoing and upcoming activities, followed by debate and questions on each presentation, highlighting the achievements and challenges. The meeting discussed the importance of teamwork and agreed that working together and effective communication will make implementation efforts easy.
During the SMT, engineers from the Ministry of Transport, Works, and infrastructure were invited to present the 3D plan and sample of equipment for phase two of SK Central (Bakoteh Mboyo Field) Mini stadium project currently under construction in Bakoteh.
