The Ministry of Youth & Sports has launched the orientation program for the 15th cohort of the National Youth Service Scheme NYSS - The Gambia at it center in Bakau . This year's batch includes 200 participants, with 96 males and 104 females, highlighting the program’s commitment to gender balance and inclusivity.
The program is designed to prepare the youths with essential skills in leadership, community service, and discipline, equipping them to contribute meaningfully to national development.
During the opening ceremony, the Minister of Youth and Sports, Honourable Bakary Y. Badjie, reaffirmed the government’s dedication to youth empowerment through initiatives like NYSS, which play a crucial role in promoting national unity. The participants are expected to complete the training as well-rounded and empowered individuals, ready to take on future challenges.
